Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) LRI-PGK IPB University held the Experimental Design Workshop for Optimizing Medicinal Plant Extraction, Batch 2 on September 24-25, 2024, via Zoom. This workshop was organized in response to the high demand from participants who were unable to attend Batch 1.
The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Mohamad Rafi, M.Sc., Director of TropBRC, who highlighted in his opening remarks that while the topic of experimental design is not exclusive to medicinal plants, TropBRC chose to focus on this area due to the center’s extensive research in the field of medicinal plants.
On this occasion, TropBRC featured expert speakers in experimental design, including Dr. Utami Dyah Syafitri, M.Si., who presented the main material. Following her presentation, Dr. Waras Nurcholis, M.Si., provided an in-depth discussion on the practical applications of experimental design in various research contexts. They were supported by two assistants, Raihan Permana Putra, M.Sc., and Novian Liwanda, M.Si., who also facilitated the workshop.
