For two days, Thursday and Friday (14–15 November 2024), Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) LRI-PGK IPB University participated in the 2024 Global Innovation & Future Technology Summit (GIFTS). This event was organized by Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Tsinghua University. With the theme “Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Management (Women in STREAM)”, the event took place at the UGM Innovation and Creativity Center (GIK).

GIFTS Expo 2024 showcased various innovative products and startups from six leading Science Techno Parks in Indonesia: ITB, IPB, ITS, UGM, UI, and Unpad. During the event, TropBRC introduced its flagship product, BioLuric, developed by Prof. Dr. Dra. Dyah Iswantini, P., M.Sc.Agr, and her team. BioLuric is a formulation derived from local plant extracts, including sidaguri (Sida rhombifolia), celery (Apium graveolens), and tempuyung (Sonchus arvensis). This product is designed to reduce uric acid levels in the blood and also possesses anti-inflammatory properties and diuretic effects, which help promote the effective excretion of uric acid through urine.

TropBRC’s participation in this event reaffirms its commitment to advancing innovations grounded in scientific research that deliver tangible benefits to society. GIFTS Expo 2024 not only provided an opportunity to expand networks but also served as a platform to showcase the strengths of BioLuric, aligning with the spirit of empowering women across various STREAM fields.
