On Friday (17/1), two intern students from the IPB University Vocational School showcased their research findings at the Animal Testing Laboratory (UKHP) at the IPB Dramaga Campus. Rima Puspita Sari presented her internship activities on the Comparison of the Anesthetic Effects of the Combination of Ketamine-Xylazine-Acepromazine with Ketamine-Xylazine on Rats (Rattus norvegicus), while Devia Fierly Avanda discussed the Effect of a High-Fat Diet on Body Weight Parameters and Abdominal Circumference of Wistar Rats (Rattus norvegicus). The UKHP Manager and staff actively engaged with the students, providing constructive feedback on data analysis, methodological refinement, and the potential impact of their findings.
This activity served as a platform for the students to enhance their technical and analytical skills while improving their ability to communicate scientific concepts effectively. The studies conducted hold broader implications for veterinary practices and metabolic health research. By fostering such collaborative learning opportunities, UKHP continues to play a pivotal role in preparing students to become future leaders in both academic and industrial research settings.
