On Monday, July 14, 2025, the Animal Testing Laboratory (ATL) under the Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) LRI-PGK, IPB University, welcomed a visit from medical students of Universitas Trisakti. The visit was part of a Field Study for the elective module Animal and Laboratory Handling. A total of 10 students participated, accompanied by Dr. Amaq Fadholly, M.Si., a lecturer from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SKHB), IPB University, following their earlier visit to SKHB.

The activity aimed to provide hands-on understanding of in vivo testing, laboratory management, and laboratory animal ethics and care within biomedical research. The group was received by the Head of LAU, apt. Dr. Siti Sa’diah, M.Si., along with LAU staff. During the visit, participants received explanations regarding operational procedures, available facilities, and the ethical and safety standards for laboratory animal handling. This activity is expected to broaden students’ perspectives on ethical and science-based laboratory practices in the fields of medicine and biomedicine.
