On Thursday, February 11, 2026, the Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) held its annual Cucurak gathering as a form of togetherness in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan. Cucurak is a Sundanese tradition, particularly in Bogor and West Java, where people share a meal as an expression of gratitude and joy ahead of Ramadan.

This year’s Cucurak was held at Kampung Kecil Jalan Baru, Bogor City, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The event served as a moment of fellowship among TropBRC leaders, researchers, and staff amidst ongoing research and academic activities.

The gathering was attended by the Head of TropBRC, Mohamad Rafi, the Secretary of TropBRC, Siti Sa’diah, as well as TropBRC researchers and staff members. The presence of the entire TropBRC community reflected the spirit of unity and collegiality that continues to be upheld as part of the institution’s culture.

Through this activity, TropBRC not only preserves local cultural values but also strengthens internal solidarity in welcoming Ramadan with a spirit of togetherness, collaboration, and blessings.
