Every year on October 1st, Indonesia commemorates Pancasila Sanctity Day (Hari Kesaktian Pancasila). Specifically, this historic occasion symbolizes the steadfastness of our nation’s fundamental ideology. On this meaningful day, the Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) LRI-PGKH IPB University extends its warmest greetings. Furthermore, we proudly salute all researchers and citizens across the archipelago
Pancasila Sanctity Day 2026 is a profound moment for collective reflection and the renewal of our commitment to the values that hold our nation together. Primarily, the observance pays solemn tribute to the Revolution Heroes (Pahlawan Revolusi) who lost their lives defending the state ideology. This enduring legacy serves as a reminder of the high cost paid to protect our fundamental beliefs.
Consequently, Pancasila stands firm as an irreplaceable shield, protecting Indonesia’s democratic and pluralistic values from extreme or divisive doctrines. Furthermore, in a nation whose strength lies in its extraordinary richness of ethnicities, religions, languages, and cultures, Pancasila acts as the vital national glue (perekat bangsa). It continuously fosters harmony, solidarity, and mutual respect. Ultimately, recalling the dark events of the 30th of September Movement (G30S) reminds every generation to remain vigilant in protecting the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) against any internal or external friction.
A Moral Compass for Scientific Advancement
The national theme for Pancasila Sanctity Day 2026 is “Pancasila Pemersatu Bangsa Menuju Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur” (Pancasila as the Nation’s Unifier Toward a Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia). This powerful message resonates deeply with the spirit of scientific discovery at TropBRC LRI-PGKH IPB University. As an integral part of the scientific community, we view Pancasila not only as a foundational state ideology but also as an essential moral compass. It directly guides our scientific advancement and ensures strict research integrity.
Achieving true national sovereignty requires a solid foundation of unity, justice, and shared goals. For TropBRC, fostering this sovereignty means actively building self-reliance in health, science, and technology. Through our continuous dedication to high-quality research, innovation in tropical biopharmacology, biodiversity conservation, and community empowerment, we strive to translate the values of justice and prosperity into tangible societal benefits.
Every scientific endeavor we undertake is a deliberate effort to build an independent, sustainable Indonesia firmly rooted in the noble ethical principles of Pancasila. Let us carry forward this enduring spirit of unity, collaboration, and resilience in all that we do.
Happy Pancasila Sanctity Day 2026! Together, let us build a sovereign, just, and prosperous Indonesia.
