Measuring Impact for the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2026
This annual database identifies highly cited researchers across the globe. To measure academic impact, the system relies on standardized citation indicators from Scopus data. In addition, it evaluates several key metrics to ensure an objective assessment. These metrics include overall citation counts, the h-index, co-authorship adjustments, authorship positions, and the composite c-score.
For 2026, the updated database offers two distinct measures of scholarly impact. First, career-long data assesses research contributions through the end of 2025. Second, the single recent-year metric focuses specifically on citations received during 2025.
As a researcher at TropBRC and an IPB University faculty member, Prof. Mohamad Rafi consistently advances scientific discovery. Notably, this achievement builds upon his previous inclusion in the 2025 edition of the database. In that 2025 list, he was one of six IPB University researchers acknowledged for global impact.
Overall, TropBRC views this milestone as a meaningful appreciation of his continued dedication. Furthermore, the achievement underscores the strong research capabilities of both TropBRC and IPB University.
Best Regards,
✨ TropBRC ✨
