Staff members of the Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) participated in the Jalan Pagi Sehat (JAPAS) IPB University event on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Dramaga Campus. The morning walk attracted 25,366 participants and formed part of IPB University’s 63rd anniversary celebrations, which carried the theme “Confirming Independence, Inspiring the Future.” The event brought together members of the academic community, partners, alumni, and the general public for a morning of physical activity and community interaction.
JAPAS IPB University Celebrates Health and Community
The gathering also provided an opportunity to recognize the achievements of the LRI team in the anniversary sports tournaments. During the celebration, the team received awards for winning first place in mixed team badminton and men’s mini soccer, as well as second place in women’s volleyball. The achievements added another moment of celebration for LRI staff during the JAPAS event.
The main walking activity began at 6:00 a.m. The organizers also provided several activities related to health and community engagement. Participants could access free health screening services in collaboration with nine partner hospitals. A bazaar also took place on the campus grounds, featuring local products, food, and beverages from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), Agrianita, and student entrepreneurs.
Other anniversary activities took place alongside JAPAS, including campus exploration tours for high school students. Together, these activities created opportunities for members of the university community and the wider public to interact and take part in the anniversary celebration.
Through JAPAS 2026, IPB University brought together its academic community, institutional partners, alumni, and the public in an activity that combined physical activity, health awareness, and community interaction. For TropBRC staff, participation in the event also provided an opportunity to celebrate the university’s anniversary while strengthening connections within the broader IPB University community.
