IST3: INTRODUCTION

The Third International Symposium on Temulawak and Potential Plants for Jamu (IST3) is the continuation of the 1^st Symposium on Temulawak (2008) and the second International Symposium on Temulawak (2011). Jamu is an Indonesian traditional medicine heritage that has long been recognized. Indonesian stakeholders launched Jamu Brand Indonesia as implementation on the Revitalization of Jamu in 2008. Temulawak is an icon for Jamu.

Through a combination of keynote speaker presentations, academic sessions, workshop (Chemometrics and Metabolomic in Jamu), social programs, and various competitions, the IST3 provides many excellent opportunities for networking, learning, and social interaction.

We invite papers related to temulawak and potential plants for jamu especially on ethnobotany/botany, conservation & cultivation, isolation & characterization of bioactive compounds, efficacy, toxicity, product development and technology, as well as culture and folklore.
