INFO: THE 1^ST IGN-TTRC INTERNATIONAL (iiC)

Dear Colleagues,

Here we forward you information about International Conference "Biotechnology for Human Life" from Indonesian-German Network for Teaching, Training, Research Collaborations (IGN TTRC). 

The IGN-TTRC is a consortium to improve teaching, training and research collaborations within Indonesia and between Indonesia and Germany. The partners acknowledge that a sustainable improvement is only possible by mutual trust and mutual support. Science and teaching/training have absolute priority. The advancement of the network as a whole has priority over individual interests of single partners. It is understood though that each individual partner should profit adequately from the network. At the moment, the German party of the network is represented by the University of Kassel but not restricted to it at anytime.

The aims:

1. The IGN-TTRC is aimed to establish joint curriculum leading to joint MSc programs and/or to establish conditions to facilitate the acceptance of Indonesian students into MSc and PhD programs at German Universities. If necessary and reasonable, the coordinator may also try to arrange PhD or MSc positions with other German partners.
2. The IGN-TTRC is designed to establish long term scientific cooperation between Indonesian partners as well as between Indonesian and the University of Kassel.  

The conference will cover the following topics:
a. Bioactive substances for curing diseases.
b. Biological waste management.
c. Transgenic plants, animals and stem cells.
d. Methods and applications to investigate biodiversity.
