Here we inform you about Scientific Workshop: “Halal Certification, A Global Normative Reference Similar to ISO, BRC or HACCP?” from Corporate Marketing Executive of Halal Penang (PIHH), Ms. Izatul Aziah Ismail.
The workshop is in conjunction with the 4th Penang International Halal Expo & Conference (PIHEC) 2013. It will be conducted by Progenus S.A, a company of the animal and microbial biology department at the Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, Belgium. This company focusing on the development and the sale of cutting-edge analysis services and diagnostic kits, through continuous feeding on latest molecular and bioinformatics scientific breakthroughs.
The objective of the workshop is to discuss on the challenges in halal certification, role of scientific control as an essential tool for Halal certification and to discuss the technique of Real-Time PCR for detection of banned (non-Halal) substances. The workshop will provide a platform for the science community to exchange ideas and opinions particularly in the advancement of technologies in the research world.
