BRC RESEARCHERS CONTRIBUTED IN ISMAP

As ISHS (International Society for Horticulture Science) members, Biopharmaca Research Center got invitation from Chairman Jirakorn Kosisawe, to participate in the International Symposium on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants at the Empress Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand.


ISHS aim to promote and encourage research and education in all branches of horticultural science and to facilitate cooperation and knowledge transfer on a global scale through its symposia and congresses, publications and scientific structure.

Membership is open to all interested researchers, educators, students and horticultural industry professionals. Indeed, the event would be taken from November 15-18, 2011, but because parts of Thailand experienced the worst floods in history, which caused severe damage to both life and property of the Thai people and had impact on land transportation especially to the North, Chiang Mai, it was postponed until December 15-18, 2011.

BRC Researchers contributed to the event by present the paper. They were:

  1. Fractionation of Active Components from Essential Oil of Piper cf. Fragile. Benth as Aromatherapy for Antiobesity, by Prof. Dr. Ir. Latifah K Darusman, MS.
  2. Increasing the Farmers interest in Producing the Medicinal Plant trough Small Scale Demonstration Plot, by Drs. Edy Djauhari Purwakusumah, MSi.
  3. Effect of Sniffing of Kaemferia galangal L L. Essential Oils in Rats, by Dr. Irmanida Batubara, MSi.
