On Thursday (06/22), a Pyrolysis GCMS & Gas Generator Technology Seminar was held, which took time from 09.00-16.00 WIB in the Startup Center Building, 5th Floor, STP Area, IPB Taman Kencana Campus, IPB University. This seminar was held in cooperation with PT. Berca Niaga Medika, Center of Excellence in Science and Technology (PUI-PT) Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) IPB University, Frontier Laboratories Ltd, and PEAK Scientific.
This activity was opened with remarks from the Director of the Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) IPB University, Prof. Dr. Irmanida Batubara, S.Si., M.Si.
The activity was attended by 85 participants from academia, research center, and industry. The first speaker, Dr. Karthikeyan Satrugnan, talked about Py_GCMS: A Powerful Tool for High-Performance Polymers Characterization. The next speaker, Dr. Ichi Watanabe, explained the Micro Reactor for Rapid Catalyst Screening Polymers Characterization. The third speaker, Dr. Mohamad Rafi, M.Si, explained Profiling Analysis Using GCMS with MPP. And the last speaker, Samuel Chua, talked about Streamlining Lab Operations with Gas Generators.
In addition, prizes were distributed to participants who could answer various questions posed by the speakers. Door prizes are also given to participants who upload their photos on Instagram and have the most likes.
In the middle of the seminar, there was also an exercise session to increase the participants’ enthusiasm.
