On Tuesday afternoon, July 22, 2025, the Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC), LRI-PGK, IPB University welcomed a visit from the International Institute for Halal Research and Training (INHART), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The IIUM delegation consisted of Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Amal A.M. Elgharbawy and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurrulhidayah Ahmad Fadzillah. They were warmly received by the Head of the TropBRC Laboratory, Dr. Rudi Heryanto, S.Si., M.Si., at the IPB Taman Kencana Campus.
During their visit, the delegation toured various laboratory facilities managed by TropBRC. Discussions between the two institutions were productive and collegial, focusing on potential strategic collaborations in halal research utilizing tropical natural products. This meeting is anticipated to be the initial step in establishing a cross-border research partnership aimed at fostering halal innovation and biopharmaca development within the Southeast Asian region.
