On Wednesday morning, September 19, 2025, a total of 13 interns from LabTropBRC visited the Animal Testing Laboratory (ATL) at the IPB University Darmaga Campus. ATL is one of the units under TropBRC, established to facilitate research, testing, and the development of biopharmaceutical products, as well as to support research conducted by the IPB University academic community and other universities.
The students were warmly welcomed by ATL staff, namely drh. Leliana Nugrahaning Widi, drh. Rere Epiyanti, and drh. Maudika Pamela Fiorenza, who provided them with comprehensive explanations. The materials presented covered laboratory functions, standard operating procedures (SOP), and the basic stages of conducting in vivo tests. The discussion also included ethical principles of animal use, animal care management, and observation during the testing process.
Through this visit, the students are expected to gain hands-on experience and a deeper practical understanding of biomedical research using animal models. This activity also serves as an important learning opportunity that bridges collaboration between educational institutions and research units within IPB University, particularly in strengthening human resource research capacity in the fields of biopharmaceuticals and biomedicine.
