The Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC), LRI-PGK, IPB University is taking proactive steps to enhance energy efficiency by implementing a policy to reduce electricity consumption in the workplace. Following the directives of IPB leadership, all employees are encouraged to use electricity wisely to cut operational costs and contribute to environmental sustainability. Simple yet effective habits—such as turning off lights and electronic devices when not in use, making the most of natural daylight, and setting air conditioners to a comfortable yet efficient 24-26°C—can make a significant difference. By embracing these small changes, we can create a more energy-efficient and productive work environment.

To reinforce this initiative, a monitoring system has been put in place, involving all work units, as well as cleaning and security personnel, to ensure that electricity is not wasted outside of working hours. This policy is more than just a cost-saving measure—it’s a step toward building a greener and more responsible workplace. Let’s make energy efficiency a habit, because even the smallest actions can have a big impact!
