Strengthening strategic partnerships in biofarmaka research and innovation development

On Tuesday, 19 May 2026, the Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) IPB University welcomed an official visit from the Indonesian Army Health Research Team (Puskesad), the Indonesian Army Research and Development Assessment Team (TNI AD), and representatives from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). The meeting was held at the Management Room, LPA2AI Building, STP Area, IPB Taman Kencana Campus, Bogor, and was received by the Secretary of TropBRC, Dr. apt. Siti Sa’diah, M.Si., together with the TropBRC team.

The visit aimed to discuss and explore potential collaborative research initiatives, particularly in the fields of tropical biopharmaca, applied health research, and innovation development. In his opening remarks, Colonel Arh Hari Purnomo, S.Hub.Int., M.Han., Head of the Science and Technology Subdivision of the Indonesian Army Research and Development Service (DIlsitbangad), conveyed the objectives of the visit and emphasized the importance of strengthening cross-institutional collaboration to support national research and defense-related health innovation. Furthermore, Lieutenant Colonel CKM Dr. Evul Winoto Lukito, S.Si., M.Si., presented a proposed collaborative research program and expressed hopes for future research cooperation with TropBRC.

The discussion session proceeded interactively with the participation of the Puskesad Research Team, the Indonesian Army Assessment Team, BRIN researchers, and the TropBRC team. Representatives from the Puskesad Research Team included Colonel CKM dr. M. Irsan Basyroel, Sp.KK., M.H., FINSDV., FAADV.; Lieutenant Colonel CKM Dr. Evul Winoto Lukito, S.Si., M.Si.; and First Lieutenant CKM Sudarsono, A.Md.Kep. The Assessment Team consisted of Colonel Arh Hari Purnomo, S.Hub.Int., M.Han.; Lieutenant Colonel Cke Yudho Setiarsono, S.Kom., M.M.; Sergeant Ninggor P. Siahaan, S.H.; and Sergeant Muhammad Ilham Ramadhana. Also present from BRIN were Dr. Sasono Rahardjo, B.Eng., M.Eng., and Drs. Moh. Dahsyat, M.M. Through this meeting, all parties expressed a shared commitment to strengthening scientific collaboration, fostering innovation, and supporting sustainable research development for the advancement of public health and national resilience.
