On May 19, 2026, the Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) LRI-PGKH IPB University welcomed an official visit from the Indonesian Army Health Research Team (Puskesad), the Assessment Team (TNI AD), and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Specifically, the meeting took place at the LPA2AI Building, IPB Taman Kencana Campus in Bogor. Therefore, Dr. apt. Siti Sa’diah, M.Si., Secretary of TropBRC, alongside her team, officially received the delegation. Together, they discussed the potential TropBRC research collaboration in tropical biofarmaka and applied health.
Fostering Applied Health Innovation
First, the primary objective of this visit was to explore joint research initiatives. Colonel Arh Hari Purnomo, Head of the Science and Technology Subdivision of the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) Research and Development Service, emphasized the critical need for cross-institutional partnerships. Consequently, these strategic alliances aim to support national research and advance defense-related health innovation.
Furthermore, Lieutenant Colonel CKM Dr. Evul Winoto Lukito presented a structured collaborative program. During his presentation, he clearly expressed optimism for future joint endeavors. As a result, this proposed program will mutually benefit all involved institutions.
Afterward, an interactive discussion followed between the visiting delegates and the host team. This session allowed everyone to exchange valuable insights on sustainable development. For instance, representatives from the Puskesad team included Colonel CKM dr. M. Irsan Basyroel, Lieutenant Colonel CKM Dr. Evul Winoto Lukito, and First Lieutenant CKM Sudarsono.
Meanwhile, the Assessment Team consisted of Colonel Arh Hari Purnomo, Lieutenant Colonel Cke Yudho Setiarsono, Sergeant Ninggor P. Siahaan, and Sergeant Muhammad Ilham Ramadhana. In addition, BRIN researchers Dr. Sasono Rahardjo and Drs. Moh. Dahsyat actively participated in the dialogue.
Ultimately, all institutions expressed a shared commitment to strengthening their scientific partnership. By advancing this TropBRC research collaboration, they will consistently foster innovation and drive sustainable research to enhance national resilience.
