The Tropical Biopharmaca Research Center (TropBRC) LRI-PGKH IPB University welcomed Dr. Bibi Jan Md Ayyub BBM(L) of BTC Sanctuary, Singapore, on Monday morning, September 7, 2026. The visit provided an opportunity for an initial introduction, exchange of information, and discussion of areas of mutual interest.

Dr. Bibi Jan Md Ayyub was accompanied by Ms. Qairiyah, a staff member of BTC Sanctuary, Singapore, and Mr. Wahyu from Mahad Ar Rohmah, Bogor. The group was welcomed by TropBRC Researcher Dr. Rudi Heryanto, S.Si., M.Si., along with TropBRC staff members.

Exploring Traditional Health and Community Wellbeing

During the visit, Dr. Bibi Jan Md Ayyub introduced BTC Sanctuary and shared information about its activities and areas of focus with the TropBRC team. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, combining a social gathering with an initial discussion on potential connections and information exchange in relevant areas.

An educator, counsellor, and social activist from Singapore, Dr. Bibi Jan Md Ayyub has an interest in the development of health and wellbeing, including traditional and natural approaches, psychological support, and community-based interventions.

The visit served as an initial opportunity for BTC Sanctuary and TropBRC to become acquainted with each other’s activities and areas of interest. It also opened opportunities for further dialogue and networking in areas related to natural health and community wellbeing.

Overall, the visit marked a meaningful first connection between BTC Sanctuary Singapore and TropBRC IPB University, providing a foundation for continued communication and the exchange of information on relevant areas of interest.
